Given To Hospitality

Several years ago a friend I've never met (a dear internet friend) sent me the book "Given To Hospitality - Cottage or Mansion" by Judy Ann Lewis. Before I could read it, the book got laid aside, was shuffled around, and forgotten. By chance, I happened upon the book a couple of days ago and started reading it. It comes with some very timely messages! It is my plan to share an occasional quote from the book. In addition to that, I am trying to locate the author now. If I can find her and can acquire another copy of the book I'd love to do a giveaway, so stay tuned!

Here is the quote that I'd like to share with you now...
"I want to ask you right now to take a minute and to look around. Is there someone you could encourage today? There are so many people who are discouraged and defeated. These people are in desperate need of a physical, emotional, and spiritual refreshing. Criticism and complaining come naturally. When we criticize and complain, this makes others feel inadequate and insecure. Reach out to someone today. It only takes a few minutes to make someone feel loved." ~Judy Ann Lewis (Given To Hospitality)

  1. And, by the way, Beth, if you're reading this...THANK YOU! I absolutely LOVE this book! Wish I wouldn't have misplaced it before, but everything in God's timing. This book is perfect for where I'm at right now. Thank you, again, so much! I love you, Lady! <3

  3. I needed to read this today. I've complained about not having enough help with the meals and house when I'm not feeling well. That must make my family feel bad. Perhaps I need to try to just do what I can, and let L. decide if they need to help more.

    1. I'm glad this old post ministered to you today, Laura. I had forgotten all about that book. It was such a good one! I just pulled it off my shelf and am going to reread it. If I can locate the author again, and she's still got copies of the book, I might consider doing another giveaway. Thanks for commenting! <3
